Catholicism And Why It Is Wrong?

 

The “Infallible” Pope

 

Most dictionaries define infallible as: Incapable of error; never wrong. Not liable to fail, go wrong, make a mistake, etc. Incapable of error in setting forth doctrine on faith or morals: said especially of the Pope speaking in his official capacity.

 

Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

 

Check out that word ‘all’. It doesn’t exclude the Pope or anyone else! The Catholic Church believes the Pope to be infallible, but that belief doesn’t make him infallible. There was only one perfect man, and that man was Jesus Christ. To claim infallibility is to claim to be as perfect as the Son of God! And since the scriptures don’t even

acknowledge anyone holding the title of Pope, we have to assume that infallibility is impossible for any human to achieve. Keep in mind here, that it is the things the Catholic Church does not tell you about the Pope that can get you into trouble!

 

In 1 John 4:1, we are told, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits, whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”

 

All Christians should carefully evaluate the beliefs and practices of a church using God’s Word as the standard by which to measure. Then, they should associate with and support the organization that meets the New Testament standards. These are the standards that the First Century church was built on . . . nothing else. Anything else is

false doctrine. If it isn’t in the Bible, chances are it’s a commandment of men and not of God!

 

Many evil and false practices were started by religious denominations just to fulfill the desires of corrupt church leaders. In today’s climate, it is not politically correct to speak ill of homosexuality, so you have church leaders willing to accept immorality and do things contrary to scripture for the sake of maintaining membership. Thanks to the will of man instead of the will of God, the Episcopalian Diocese of New Hampshire elected a homosexual Bishop as its leader, contrary to the will of God and His Son.

 

Doctrinal purity is a must, if any church is to survive today. The Catholic church is having so many problems and so much dissension today, because of its lies, lenience, and teaching of false doctrine. Still, there are many who will stand by those deceitful practices all the way to hell, simply because they are brainwashed into believing the Pope is infallible. They are committing spiritual suicide!

 

The doctrine should be the same as that which was preached two thousand years ago by Jesus Christ and His Apostles. It is in the Bible. To preach anything else is not Christianity! You cannot (as the Catholics have done) simply make up new rules to live by and place them upon a class of people, claiming those rules to have been

inspired by God! Direct revelation from God ceased with what Daniel left us in the last book of the Bible, Revelation.

 

The last thing He left us to live by was His word, not that of the Pope. And not the unscriptural commandments of men, which those men expect to be followed blindly and without question! Catholicism is a cult. It flourished under the communist rule of Mussolini! Communism detests Christianity.

 

God left no elaborate rituals for us to follow. Those ended when Jesus Christ was nailed to the cross! God knew how hard it would be for people to believe it. There are a few really simple things we have to do in order to receive our reward from Him, and they are all mentioned in the New Testament. They don’t involve candles, rosaries, visions, incense, midnight mass, confession (except to God), dietary restrictions, special holy days, bowing to a figurehead and kissing his “Holy” ring, or believing that “his eminence” is infallible!

 

If you don’t think that the Catholic Church has the support of Satan, drive by any large cathedral in a major American city. Nearly 100% of the time, you will see gargoyles guarding the building! Why would any Godly organization choose such grotesque looking figures as a symbol of religion? Because the Catholic church is inherently

evil! It is a hideous, greedy, irresponsible organization that needs to be revealed for what it is!

 

The Catholic church claims that Peter was its first Pope. In Mark 1:30-31, we read, “But Simon’s Peter’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever and immediately they tell him (Jesus) of her. Jesus came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.”

 

Peter was a married man! Under the rules established for priests by the Catholic Church, they are not permitted to have wives, and they must take a vow of celibacy upon ordination! If this is true, how in the world can the Catholic Church claim Peter as its first Pope? Under the rules established by the Vatican, Peter couldn’t have even been a priest, much less a Pope – more contradiction!

 

The Roman Catholic tradition that Peter was its first Pope is nothing but fiction. There is no New Testament hint and no historical evidence whatsoever that Peter was, at any time, the Bishop of Rome! Nor did he ever claim for himself any such authority as the Popes have claimed for themselves.

 

Peter had a divine forethought that his successors would be mainly concerned with “Lording it over God’s flock” rather than showing themselves as examples to the flock (1 Peter 5:3).

 

Gregory I (A.D. 590-604) is generally regarded as the first Pope. He appeared at a time of political anarchy and great public distress throughout Europe. After the fall of Rome, Italy had become a Gothic kingdom, and later, a Byzantine province under control of the eastern emperor, and was being pillaged by the Lombards. Gregory’s

influence over various kings had a stabilizing effect. He established for himself complete control over the churches of Italy, Spain, Gaul and England, whose conversion to Christianity was the greatest event of Gregory’s time. He labored untiringly for the purification of the church. He deposed neglectful or unworthy bishops and opposed the practice of Simony (the selling of the office). He had great influence in the east, but did not exercise authority over the Eastern

church. When the Patriarch of Constantinople called himself the “Universal Bishop”, Gregory dismissed the title as haughty and vicious and refused to be called so himself. Yet, the authority Gregory exerted would have fit this title. In his personal life he was a good man and did a lot of good for people. If all Popes were as effective as Gregory, the world would have a different view of the Papacy!

 

The papacy was made to appear as something that was complete and unchangeable from the very beginning. The object was to increase the Pope’s temporal power and was the most colossal fraud in history. Yet, it strengthened the Papacy more than any other event, and it forms, to a large extent, the basis of the Canon Law of the Roman

Catholic church today.

 

Alexander VI (1484-1492) was called the most corrupt of Popes. He bought the Papacy, made many new Cardinals (for money), and had a number of illegitimate children, whom he openly acknowledged and appointed to church office while they were still children. They, along with Alexander, murdered Cardinals and others who stood in

their way. And he had for a mistress, a sister of a Cardinal, who became the next Pope (Pius III).

 

Nicholas V (1447-1455) authorized the King of Portugal to declare war on the African peoples, take their property by force, and make slaves of them.

 

Pope Pius II was said to have been the father of many illegitimate children and spoke openly of the methods he used to seduce women. He encouraged young men and even offered to instruct them on how to indulge their whims!

Pope Paul II filled his house with concubines!

 

Pope Sixtus IV (1471-1484) decreed that money would deliver souls from purgatory! Maybe this has something to do with why the Catholic church is the wealthiest church on the face of the earth! And to think they threw Jim Bakker into prison!

 

Finally, in 1854, Pope Pius IX, of his own sovereign authority and without the cooperation of a council, proclaimed the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception. This was so widely accepted that he called the Vatican Council in 1870 for the express purpose of having himself declared infallible, which, under his sneaky skill, the council

did! The decree reads that it is “divinely revealed” that the Pope, when he speaks “ex-cathedra”, is possessed of infallibility in defining doctrines of faith and morals, and that such definitions are irrefutable.

 

And so, every Pope since Pope Pius has claimed infallibility, because the Vatican Council, at his bidding, so voted! The Eastern church considered this to be blasphemy!

 

SUMMARY

The Papacy is an Italian institution, not a religious one. It arose on the ruins of the Roman Empire, in the name of Christ, occupying the throne of the Caesars. It brought itself to power through the prestige of Rome, the name of Christ, by shrewd political alliances, by deception, and by armed force. By armed force and bloodshed, it has maintained itself in power.

 

Some of the Popes have been good men. Some of them have been unspeakably vile. All of them have been absorbed in the pursuit of secular power. Through a large part of history, the Papacy has, by the sale of

ecclesiastical office and its shameless traffic in indulgences, been able to maintain the most luxurious real estate in Europe. And through it all, these “Holy Fathers” claim they are the “Vicars of Christ,” “infallible,” and they hold on this earth, the place of almighty God, that obedience to them is necessary to salvation! And in some Catholic countries, the Bible is an unknown book! Nothing could be more preposterous.

 

At the coronation of the Popes, a crown is placed upon their heads with the words, “Thou art the father of princes and kings, ruler of the world, and Vicar of Christ.” The Papacy is not the church, but a political machine that got control of the church and, by assumed prerogatives, interposed itself between God and His people. It seems impossible that men could take the religion of Christ and develop it into an unscrupulous political machine on which to

ride to world power. However, all statements made herein, can be verified by reference to any of the more complete church histories! The Catholic Church always has been and will always continue to be one of the biggest scams of all time, at least as far as claiming Christ as their leader.
